CityJet operates a fleet of 22 CRJ900 regional jets, built by Bombardier in Montreal, Canada, with major components also produced by Bombardier’s Belfast facility.
The CRJ900 is powered by two General Electric CF34-8 turbofans and delivers the lowest fuel burn per trip for jet aircraft in its category. The CRJ is approved for the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and is ideally suited for regional markets where 180/190-seat aircraft will use almost 50% more fuel for the same journey.
CityJet operates the majority its CRJ900 fleet on behalf of SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and also offers the aircraft in the wet lease and occasionally ad-hoc charter markets.
