Press Release: Wednesday 20th October 2010.
London Irish says “Try Us With CityJet” for LV= Cup Clash against Scarlets.
London Irish and principal sponsor CityJet have announced a brand new initiative to coincide with the launch of the airline’s latest marketing campaign “Try Us”.
For the LV Cup home fixture against Scarlets on 14th November 2010, in conjunction with CityJet, the South Stand at Madejski Stadium is being opened up to “Try Us with CityJet”. Rather than pay for tickets before the game, supporters are invited to “try before they buy”, they can watch the team in action and after the game pay into an honesty box what they feel their visit to the Madejski was worth.
The offer is open to all – existing supporters can apply for tickets to bring family and friends along and potential new supporters can try a day at London Irish for the first time. Almost 4,000 seats are on offer and to apply for tickets supporters should register their details by 5pm on the 9th November 2010 at www.cityjet.com/london-irish. Each application can be made for one adult and up to three children. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
All South Stand Season Ticket Holders or those who have already purchased a South Stand match day ticket for this game are being offered an upgrade, free of charge, to try the match day experience from the East or West Stand. They should contact the Ticket Office directly on 0844 249 1871 to choose their seat.
All Season Ticket Holders can also use either of the two offers in the 2010/11 season ticket guide - half-price additional tickets for the Scarlets game for any stand or two free tickets for any game, any stand (offer excludes the St Patrick's Party and Heineken Cup games).
London Irish Commercial Director Richard Marsh said: "Try Us with CityJet has given London Irish the perfect opportunity to attract new fans to the Madejski whilst supporting CityJet’s new campaign. We believe the honesty box concept is a first for rugby in the UK and it also gives existing supporters the chance to bring family and friends along to try us."
CityJet Chairman Pat Byrne said "When you have confidence that your offer to your customers is attractive, relevant and excellent value, then you should be prepared to put it to the ultimate test by inviting trial. If the customer likes what they experience, then everybody wins, if they don’t then you can learn from their feedback. Attracting new customers throughout the process is a bonus. That’s what this initiative is all about.”
