CityJet launches its first ever Frequent Flyer Offer
CityJet, the airline that flies from the heart of London, has launched its first ever multi-buy loyalty offer for frequent flyers. Entitled ‘High Five’, anyone booking five return flights on the airline’s London City-Edinburgh route between 1 July and 31 October 2012 will receive a sixth flight free which can be used anywhere on the airline’s European point to point network*.
Taking part is easy. Passengers simply need to register at cityjet.com/freeflight any time during the promotion period. Once they have flown 5 return flights (or equivalent of), CityJet will send them an email with their free ticket from. CityJet flies to Edinburgh up to four times a day from London City - London's most central airport. Fares start from as little as £113 return, including all taxes and charges.
The unique ‘High Five’ offer is aimed at the airline’s high percentage of frequent business flyers on the London-Edinburgh route. The scheme will run over the summer months to encourage not only flights for business but also travel for leisure purposes as both cities play host to some of the UK’s premiere cultural and sporting events.
CityJet will be supporting its High Five offer with a targeted campaign to reach existing and new customers.
Says Ben Schaafsma, Head of Marketing, CityJet, ‘Summer is traditionally a time when business traffic slows down, but at any one time, 75% of the population is still at work during this period. We therefore fully expect high take up of the offer from our regular business flyers. However, summer 2012 is also an exceptional time for leisure passengers to remain in the UK with the Olympics and a host of other major sporting and cultural events taking place in and around both Edinburgh and London. We’re hoping therefore to see significant uplift in leisure flyers booking with us on the route as well.’
