CityJet boosts Dundee flight schedule
Date: 22nd March 2012.
CityJet, the airline that flies to the heart of London, has listened to the Dundee community and adapted its summer schedule to enable passengers from Tayside to travel at times that suit them most.
An extra frequency has been added to CityJet’s Dundee to London City schedule on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning from 30 March 2012, to support passengers who are often flying to London for business at these times. Fares start from £69 one-way all inclusive and can be booked now at www.cityjet.com.
In addition, CityJet has reduced its rotations on a Friday from three to two, following low demand for the mid-afternoon flight.
Christine Ourmières, CityJet CEO, said: “We’ve always ensured that we maintained an open line of communication with the Dundee community; listening to what our passengers in the Fife region want from the CityJet service to London City and it appears there is more demand for flights on a Sunday and Monday morning. This is understandable as these prime times are when many people travel to London on business.
“The demand for an increased frequency at these crucial times has prompted some changes to the CityJet schedule, which will only benefit the community in Dundee that use this service.”
The new additional frequencies from 30 March 2012 are as follows:
From Dundee to London City
Monday (AF5175) 10:55 12:30
Sunday (AF5174) 14:15 15:50
From London City to Dundee
Monday (AF5174) 08:55 10:30
Sunday (AF5175) 16:20 17:55
By booking early, passengers can take advantage of the £69 one-way fare from Dundee to London City.
