Dangerous Goods

 

Dangerous Goods are also known as restricted articles, hazardous materials and dangerous cargo. Their carriage on CityJet aircraft is strictly prohibited.

 


For safety reasons, the following items are not permitted in any passengers baggage:

    • compressed gases - flammable, non-flammable and poisonous, e.g. butane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, aqualung cylinders
    • corrosives - such as acids, alkalis, apparatus containing mercury, wet-cell batteries
    • explosives - munitions, fireworks, flares - such as hand guns, pistol caps, ammunition
    • flammable liquids and solids - such as lighter fuel, 'strike anywhere' matches, paints, thinners, fire lighters
    • radioactive materials
      briefcases and attache cases with installed alarm devices · oxidising materials - such as bleaching powder and peroxides · poisons and infectious substances - such as insecticides, weed killers and live viruses
    • other dangerous articles - such as magnetised material, offensive or irritating materials

The following items are also considered dangerous articles and are not permitted in the cabin of CityJet aircraft. Passengers must check these items as baggage;

    • Hunting knives / Butcher knives / Switchblades / Scissors
    • Sporting goods i.e. snooker cues, catapults, hurling or hockey sticks, sporting bats


You are also forbidden from using electrical devices, which could interfere with the aircraft's radio and navigational equipment (such as radios and mobile telephones).
