| CityJet destination guide Jersey
What's happening - September/October in Jersey If you need any excuse to visit The Club Hotel & Spa in St Helier, step forward celebrity chef Shaun Rankin, who runs the hotel's Michelin-Starred Bohemia restaurant. Yorkshire-born Shaun describes his food style as a new style - his own take on classical dishes with a modern twist. His vision and passion is island-based cooking - nearly all the produce in this kitchen is sourced from within Jersey, especially in the summer season when nearly 90 per cent of his produce is local. www.theclubjersey.com

SECRETS
Jersey is home to one of the highest rising tides in the world, which can prove a problem in hot weather, as it's a long way to the sea at its lowest point. If you're desperate for a dip, you can always head to Havre des Pas's man-made sea swimming pool, where the water level never drops (www.lookatjersey.com). When the weather is warm, all sorts of people use the pool for swimming and paddling-even waterpolo.
