What's happenning - September/October in Amsterdam The city is alive with the sound of music from 6-12 September, with the annual Gaudeamus Music Week, a competitive international music festival open to classical composers under the age 30. Concerts are held at various venues including the Bimhuis and Muziekgebouw aan't IJ. Every year the festival's jury selects 17 works from more than 280 entries, written by composers from 54 different countries.
