CityJet was awarded the prestigious European Regions' Airline Association "Airline of the Year 2008/9 Silver Award" for the second year in succession by the leading body of European regional aviation.
Prior to its rebranding as CityJet, VLM Airlines was named Best Regional Airline for Europe and Best Cabin Staff Western Europe, in the World Airline Awards 2008. VLM had been awarded the Regional Airline of the Year in 2006 by Air Transport World
